Cathy Norris
Cathy Norris has over 20 years of experience in consulting, developing and managing training, and facilitating personal development. Her clients and employers include AT&T, Eli Lilly, Accenture, Walmart, Cambridge Technology Consultants, and Novell, including clients in North America, Switzerland, Italy, and India. As Asia Pacific Training Manager for Novell in Singapore, she partnered with country managers for Australia, China, Japan, India, and Malaysia to align their learning programs with the company’s global business strategy.
Cathy watched the growing disengagement of “surviving” employees following corporate downsizing, noticing how some grew disconnected from the company’s mission because they didn’t understand the connection of their role within the new restructured organizational layers. Then on a plane to Australia, she saw a picture of The Passion Test by Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood in a newspaper. Something told her to buy the book and take the test. Overworked, she hadn’t noticed her own anxiety, stress, and disconnection from herself and from others. Taking The Passion Test, she learned she was not passionate about her job–or at least, not as passionate as she wanted to be.
Following The Passion Test process of Intention, Attention, and No Tension, her passions began to reappear in her life. Finding herself “downsized” after company restructuring, Cathy resisted the familiarity of seeking a similar position and founded Live Your Passionate Life, Inc. to follow her passion of helping individuals and organizations identify and align to their passions and greatly enhance their effectiveness and fulfillment.
Cathy holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and became a PhD candidate in Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University. She is a certified Passion Test® and Passion Test for Business® Facilitator and founder of Live Your Passionate Life, Inc. Since 2009, she has taught close to fifty Passion Test and Finding Your Career Passion workshops, helping hundreds of people shift their lives toward following their heart’s desired path. She is a volunteer at ProNet Reno where she is teaching Skills Analysis to recently unemployed professionals.
